Camelid Research Studies porta alpaca e lama in contesti in cui la relazione con le persone può avere un significato concreto, nel rispetto dell'animale: attività assistite presso residenze per anziani e progetti con persone con disabilità. Gli interventi assistiti sono fra gli scopi del suo statuto (art. 4). Qui trovi le schede che usiamo negli incontri, la rete a cui facciamo riferimento e dove cercare i professionisti iscritti agli elenchi nazionali.Camelid Research Studies brings alpacas and llamas into settings where the relationship with people can have real meaning, with respect for the animal: assisted activities in care homes for older people and projects with people with disabilities. Assisted interventions are among the purposes set out in its statute (art. 4). Here you will find the forms we use at our encounters, the network we refer to and where to look for qualified professionals.
Che cosa sono gli IAAWhat animal-assisted interventions are
In Italia gli interventi assistiti con gli animali sono disciplinati dalle linee guida nazionali approvate con l'Accordo Stato-Regioni del 25 marzo 2015. Le linee guida li dividono in tre categorie, con obiettivi e figure professionali diverse.In Italy, animal-assisted interventions are governed by the national guidelines adopted by the State-Regions Agreement of 25 March 2015. The guidelines divide them into three categories, with different aims and different professionals.
AAA — Attività assistita con gli animaliAAA — Animal-assisted activity
Intervento ludico-ricreativo e di socializzazione. È l'attività che l'associazione svolge oggi.A recreational and socialising intervention. It is the activity the association carries out today.
EAA — Educazione assistita con gli animaliEAA — Animal-assisted education
Intervento educativo, anche di gruppo.An educational intervention, including in groups.
TAA — Terapia assistita con gli animaliTAA — Animal-assisted therapy
Intervento a valenza terapeutica, personalizzato sulla persona, che richiede un'apposita prescrizione medica.An intervention with a therapeutic purpose, tailored to the person, which requires a specific medical prescription.
Le schede per gli incontriThe encounter forms
Le linee guida chiedono che ogni intervento sia monitorato sulla persona, sull'animale e sulla relazione fra i due, e che il monitoraggio sia registrato. L'associazione lo fa con tre schede, a ogni attività assistita con alpaca e lama: una per l'incontro, una per ogni animale e una per ogni utente. Si stampano, si compilano durante l'incontro e si firmano alla fine.The guidelines require every intervention to be monitored on the person, on the animal and on the relationship between them, and the monitoring to be recorded. The association does this with three forms at every assisted activity with alpacas and llamas: one for the encounter, one for each animal and one for each participant. They are printed, filled in during the encounter and signed at the end.

Una per ogni incontro. Undici parti: i dati dell'incontro, l'équipe presente, i volontari, i partecipanti, gli animali impiegati e per quanto tempo, gli obiettivi, le attività svolte, le osservazioni sui partecipanti, il benessere degli animali, le criticità e le note per l'incontro successivo.One for each encounter. Eleven parts: the details of the encounter, the team present, the volunteers, the participants, the animals involved and for how long, the aims, the activities, the observations on the participants, the animals' welfare, any problems and the notes for the next encounter.

Una per ogni animale impiegato: come sta prima della seduta, i segnali di stress durante, le pause e come sta nella mezz'ora dopo. La compila il coadiutore, la verifica il medico veterinario e si archivia nella cartella dell'animale.One for each animal involved: how it is before the session, the signs of stress during it, the breaks and how it is in the half hour after. It is filled in by the handler, checked by the veterinarian and kept in the animal's file.

Una per ogni utente, a ogni incontro: lo stato all'arrivo e alla fine, le attività a cui ha partecipato e i comportamenti osservati. La compila il referente dell'intervento o dell'ente ospite, con sole osservazioni descrittive.One for each participant, at every encounter: how they are on arrival and at the end, the activities they took part in and the behaviour observed. It is filled in by the person in charge of the intervention or of the host organisation, with descriptive observations only.
Sulle schede gli utenti si indicano solo con le iniziali, senza dati sanitari.On the forms, participants are identified by their initials only, with no health data.

Ogni incontro ha un'équipe, e la scheda incontro ne registra le figure e le firme.Every encounter has a team, and the encounter form records its members and their signatures.

Risponde dell'attività assistita, verifica la scheda incontro e mette il visto sulle schede di osservazione degli utenti.Is answerable for the assisted activity, checks the encounter form and countersigns the participant observation forms.
Il medico veterinario esperto in IAAThe veterinarian qualified in animal-assisted interventions
Valuta l'idoneità sanitaria e comportamentale degli animali che partecipano agli incontri e verifica la scheda di seduta di ciascuno.Assesses the health and behavioural suitability of the animals taking part in the encounters and checks each one's session form.
Il coadiutore dell'animaleThe animal handler
Accompagna e gestisce l'animale durante l'incontro e ne compila la scheda di seduta.Accompanies and handles the animal during the encounter and fills in its session form.

La rete di riferimento dell'associazione per gli IAA è WeAnimal, la rete nazionale degli operatori della relazione uomo-animale. È nata nel 2014 per mettere in contatto operatori e associazioni che si occupano di interventi assistiti, e ogni anno organizza un incontro nazionale sugli IAA.The association's reference network for animal-assisted interventions is WeAnimal, the Italian national network of people who work on the human-animal relationship. It was founded in 2014 to connect practitioners and associations working in assisted interventions, and holds a national meeting on them every year.

Tutte le figure professionali degli IAA, fra cui i medici veterinari esperti in IAA, sono iscritte negli elenchi nazionali del portale DigItal Pet, tenuto dal Centro di referenza nazionale per gli interventi assistiti con gli animali.All the professionals in animal-assisted interventions, including veterinarians qualified in the field, are listed in the national registers of the DigItal Pet portal, kept by the Italian National Reference Centre for Animal-Assisted Interventions.
