La BDN è laThe BDN is the Banca Dati NazionaleNational Database del sistema di identificazione e registrazione degli animali (sistema I&R), e si usa dal portaleof the animal identification and registration system (I&R system), and is used from the portal vetinfovetinfo. Per alpaca e lama l'identificazione e la registrazione individuale sono obbligatorie. For alpacas and llamas, individual identification and registration are mandatory da febbraio 2025since February 2025 [1, 2]. L'obbligo vale per chiunque li detenga, anche per pochi animali tenuti per compagnia, per la lana di casa o per le attività assistite: anche queste attività, per il Manuale, sono un «allevamento» [3].[1, 2]. The obligation applies to anyone who keeps them, even for a few animals kept as pets, for home-spun wool or for assisted activities: these activities too, for the Manual, are a «holding» [3].

Passo 1 · Registrare lo stabilimentoStep 1 · Registering the establishment

• Prima di cominciareBefore starting l'attività si chiede la registrazione tramite lothe activity, registration is requested through the SUAP del ComuneSUAP of the Municipality dove si trova lo stabilimento. Lo SUAP la trasmette allawhere the establishment is located. The SUAP forwards it to the ASLASL, che controlla la documentazione: almeno la planimetria, una relazione che descrive l'attività e le attrezzature. Dove lo SUAP non funziona, la Regione indica un'altra strada [3]., which checks the documentation: at least the floor plan, a report describing the activity and the equipment. Where the SUAP does not work, the Region indicates another route [3].
• L'operatore è identificato dalThe operator is identified by the codice fiscaletax code. Se chi tiene gli animali non ne è il proprietario, nella domanda va indicato anche il proprietario [3].. If the person keeping the animals is not their owner, the application must also state the owner [3].

• Per alpaca e lamaFor alpacas and llamas non esiste l'«allevamento familiare»there is no such thing as a "family farm" con la procedura semplificata: il Manuale lo prevede solo per bovini, equini, ovini e caprini, suini, pollame, conigli e api. Passo 2 · Identificare ogni animaleStep 2 · Identifying each animal

Passo 3 · Iscrivere i capi entro 7 giorniStep 3 · Registering the animals within 7 days

EntroWithin 7 giorni7 days dall'impianto l'operatore, o chi ha la sua delega, iscrive ogni capo nella propria attività in BDN [1, 3] con:from the implant, the operator, or whoever holds their delegation, registers each animal in their own holding in the BDN [1, 3] with:

• la data di nascita e il codice identificativo;the date of birth and the identification code;
• il tipo e la posizione del mezzo di identificazione e la data in cui è stato applicato;the type and position of the means of identification and the date on which it was applied;
• la razza e il sesso;the breed and the sex;
• gli eventi successivi (ingressi, uscite, morte).the subsequent events (entries, exits, death).

Animali arrivati dall'estero.Animals that arrived from abroad. Si registrano anche il Paese di nascita e quello di provenienza e gli estremi della documentazione sanitaria che li accompagnava [3].The country of birth and the country of origin are also recorded, together with the details of the health documentation that accompanied them [3].

• Prima della partenzaBefore departure, chi spedisce gli animali (o il suo delegato) compila e registra in BDN il, the consignor (or their delegate) completes and registers in the BDN the documento di accompagnamentoaccompanying document. La BDN lo rende visibile anche al destinatario [3].. The BDN makes it visible to the recipient as well [3].
• Uscita e ingresso si confermano in BDNDeparture and arrival are confirmed in the BDN entro 7 giorniwithin 7 days. Registrando la morte, l'operatore attesta che lo smaltimento è regolare, e ne tiene la documentazione per i controlli [3].. Disposal of the carcass is the responsibility and at the expense of the operator, in accordance with the regulations. By registering the death, the operator attests that disposal is compliant, and keeps the documentation for inspections [3].
