Come si legge questa pagina. Una scheda entra qui se il suo campo «Specie» dichiara questa specie fra i soggetti studiati. La riga «Specie» è riportata alla lettera su ogni tessera, ed è quella su cui l'assegnazione si regge: si può verificare senza fidarsi. Una scheda che studia più specie compare in più di un indice, con la sua ripartizione numerica intatta — non c'è nessuna quota inventata per dividerla.

Che cosa non c'è, e non è una dimenticanza. 9 schede su 85 non entrano in nessuno dei quattro indici: 3 dichiarano una specie che non è una di queste quattro (dromedario, cane, specie di laboratorio) e 6 dichiarano camelidi senza dire quali. Non sono state distribuite per somiglianza: stanno tutte, con il loro motivo citato, in le schede senza una delle quattro specie.

What is not here, and it is not an oversight. 9 records out of 85 appear in none of the four indexes: 3 state a species that is not one of these four (dromedary, dog, laboratory species) and 6 state camelids without saying which. They have not been distributed by resemblance: they are all listed, each with its quoted reason, in the records without one of the four species.
